Everything I try just dries out my skin.What's a good acne cream/wash that won't dry out my face?

This was widely considered to be one of the best acne treatments available, and works best to prevent acne before it starts, and to prevent minor acne from becoming more serious.What's a good acne cream/wash that won't dry out my face?
the neutragina stuff works well, just put it on at night, wash your face in the morning, apply small amounts of moisterizer as to not counteract the effects of the acne cream, and wash your face when you come home with neutragina acne pads. also do not take very hot showers because this makes your face very dry! if that does not work you can go to your doctor and they can give you seperate day and night acne creams.
go see a derm, they are the only ones who know what they are talking about. Here's a secret: stores like Target and Walmart add fillers to their creams, washes, and any other products to lengthen their shelf life. That's not the kind of stuff you want to be putting on your skin.
i use Noxzema. I love,love, love it. Everything i used, like clean and clear, nuetrogena,etc., dried my skin out and almost burned when i used it. But, nozxema cleans very good. i never break out!! It's only $5 at walgreens and walmart.Your skin will not dry out from this.

I'd recommend cutting them into four tho and using just one of two at a time as they go a long way =o) Technically if you cut them up, they last longer so you could have like 100 days worth of wipes for just 拢5.00.

This one you can wash in the machine, BUT, use cold water and the most gentle cycle. Make certain all of the detergent has dissolved in the water before you put it inside out in the water. Use the soak cycle first, then let it go through the shortest wash cycle. Check it in the spin cycle, my washer doesn't change the time for the spin cycle no matter how short the wash cycle, so I've had to stop it midway through to remove the backpack so that the nylon mesh part doesn't get too beat up.
If you have a dryer rack, use that so that the drum turns but the backpack stays stationary on the rack (you can also use the mesh bag that attaches to the door but it takes a lot longer to dry and you have to keep changing the backpack's position in it to thoroughly dry it). I use the delicate or air dry setting on the dryer and it usually takes 40-50 minutes to dry, but I turn it right side out half way through.Can i put my north face backpack in the wash machine.?

I would think you could machine wash it. Machine washing is not usually the problem with such things, it's the dryer that'll do the damage. I'd recommend air drying it.

A cleanser does only that - it cant also moisterize, and kill bacteria and shrink pores, thats asking too much.
I'm endorsing the cetaphil, unless you need to remove make-up, then I would use oil of olay sensitive skin foaming face wash (in the tube) it works well also. Neither is drying, which is about the best you can hope for when you have acne, and neither will conteract your acne medications.

Those things do not mix. Acne medication is drying. Get a face wash that says noncomedogenic, that won't cause pimples. I've used Eucerin sensitive face wash before, that moisturizes pretty good. But your best bet is to wash with whatever you like, and use a facial moisturizer afterwards. Clean and Clear makes one that's medicated, called dual action moisturizer, so you're treating acne and moisturizing at the same time. I use a bunch of different things that gives me the best results, but it's different for everyone. If you care, I use a salicylic acid wash, the dual action moisturizer I mentioned before, 2% salicylic acid gel on acne prone areas, 10% benzoyl peroxide on oily areas, and a spot of the salicylic gel on each pimple. Or if I'm going on a date, maybelline makes a concealer that's medicated too.

I know this may sound weird but I have relation who did this and it worked wonders. He is also in his twenties. He washed his face twice a day with toothpaste-never scrubbed, just rubbed and rinsed. He did not need to use a moiturizer and it cleared up his skin. Good luck.

Use baking soda as a scrub... I've been and it works GREAT!!! It dries up the skin so I use moisturizer. Also I use liquid hand soap and sometimes dish soap on my face along with the baking soda and it works well...

This is affective as it opens your pores and so when you wash your face, you not only clear the exterior of your skin but also in the pores! (ps. it's dirty pores that give you acne so it's quite effective and I'm talking through experience) However this isn't enough with most acne! Buy some surgical spirit (very cheap and easy to find), pour some on some cotton wool and dab on your face but only the oily part like your T zone! I also wash my face with simple deep cleanser since it cleans tones and moisturizes! Hope I helped! Good luck!

Believe it or not, you'll see that you can benefit from products that may cost way less than what you've paid for. First, buy yourself a natural soap that contains olive, avocado, or oatmeal. Don't invest in expensive department store soaps that are equivalent to sulfur soaps used to wash clothing by hand. I'm not saying that those are bad; yet those soaps are ideal for people who have acne (I use it once in a while). You may want to try Burt's Bees products, or make yourself an avocado, honey, and egg white n sugar mask once or twice a month. Try not to get so many extractions when you get your facials; because your skin will always be needing them. Love your skin! Good luck.
Look, you have to stop worrying about the price of things and understand that the cheap stuff is not going to help you. I remember when I was told to get some expensive shampoo, I freaked out and said no. Today, I regret getting the cheap stuff because I know the other stuff would have helped a lot. You have to set your priorities straight and decide if you really want your skin to feel good or if you just wanna save on everything.

My face is VERY dry and always flaking and then I used this and I swear to you it saved my adorable face :) A lot of people ask me how I keep my skin so healthy. No one believes me when I say Mary Kay because they think Im being sarcastic but I am dead serious. You should try it if you can!

you may be cleaning too much, try doing it every three days, or try seeing a doctor, two of my kids have had acne, my oldest son had it so bad, he had purple spots, doctors can give you a prescription and be assured it probably will go away after age about 21.

Try witch hazel on a cotton ball or those cosmetic pads instead to clean your face. Ivory soap is really good to believe it or not. Generic benzol peroxide (spelling?) for day time use is good.
I hear Proactive is really good, but the best thing I've found is going to a tanning salon. Clears the acne up in no time, plus you get a great tan.
Be careful of the cream, it may be what's causing the acne to reappear. I can't put any creams or lotions on my face, not even the ones that are supposed to be helpful.

you may be cleaning too much, try doing it every three days, or try seeing a doctor, two of my kids have had acne, my oldest son had it so bad, he had purple spots, doctors can give you a prescription and be assured it probably will go away after age about 21.

Try witch hazel on a cotton ball or those cosmetic pads instead to clean your face. Ivory soap is really good to believe it or not. Generic benzol peroxide (spelling?) for day time use is good.
I hear Proactive is really good, but the best thing I've found is going to a tanning salon. Clears the acne up in no time, plus you get a great tan.
Be careful of the cream, it may be what's causing the acne to reappear. I can't put any creams or lotions on my face, not even the ones that are supposed to be helpful.

I just colored my hair black with loreal casting, and some black got on my face, soap washes out a littke bit of it.. what else willHow do you wash out Hair dye out of your skin/face?

All you need is a cotton to remove the hard to take off waterproof make up .If you want to wash your face to remove the make up..use RINSE OFF FOAMING CLEANSER...You just need a pea size amount to wash your whole face...you feel so clean after that! It's really good for it's $$$

Try Clinique's TAKE THE DAY OFF (which is gentle enough for eyes/lips/face). All you need is a cotton to remove the hard to take off waterproof make up .If you want to wash your face to remove the make up..use RINSE OFF FOAMING CLEANSER...You just need a pea size amount to wash your whole face...you feel so clean after that! It's really good for it's $$$

I know this seems strange, but you should cleanse your face with oil... castor oil. All you need is the castor oil and a warm to hot washcloth.
Believe it or not, castor oil cleanses and leaves just the right amount of oil on your face. Plus, it will not cause you to break out ONE BIT.
It's very cheap. I think you can get it at CVS. If you can't find it there, try the Vitamin Shoppe.

It depends on your skin. If it's for oily skin and you have oily skin then it would be ok. If it's for oily and you have dry skin then don't use it. Read the label...see if that part matches with your skin type.
I heard Biore pore products were good. BUT it iall personal. Even sometimes when the skin type matches sometimes something in the product does not agree with your personal chemistry. Try it.

It depends on your skin. If it's for oily skin and you have oily skin then it would be ok. If it's for oily and you have dry skin then don't use it. Read the label...see if that part matches with your skin type.
I heard Biore pore products were good. BUT it iall personal. Even sometimes when the skin type matches sometimes something in the product does not agree with your personal chemistry. Try it.
It really dried my face out but u should test a small section of your face, than determine because everyones skin is different.

It depends on what it is doing. Tea tree can at first bring out the impurites in your skin, but it is also a natural healing agent and will start healing once the impurities are gone. I do this for a living and its common for all the blemishes to come to the surface. If it seems like a rash of some sort, you could be having a reaction to it. Only cleanse twice a day! Hi it can the levels of the ph is obviously too harsh for your skin, just wash you skin in warm salty water for 3 x per day, and pat dry use moisturiser, no oily ones, and you should be fine, as salt is natural, where as tea tree oil is oily and has the highest amount of chemicals in it.

I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. Noticeable results immediately, and I've been having bad acne lately. Cleared up right before prom--which was the next day. AcneFree also has a line with only salycilic acid, so it works well too. If it dries up the skin too much, try an oil-free moisturizer, and remember to exfoliate, because it causes the skin to heal faster than normal.
It's available in Fred Meyer's, Walgreen's, etcetera.

The benzoyl peroxide (10%) creams are the most effective but are very hard on the skin. you cant wipe it dry because you'll be rough to your skin and that defeats the purpose of washing it in the first place. by patting it, you're being gentle to your skin.
remember, your skin is the most sensitive organ so take care of it.
Because wiping your skin with a towel is sometimes harsh on your skin. Patting it dry doesn't remove skin cells.

so i just ran out of face wash and i was gonna go get a new one today,at cvs. i want to try something new for my face. something that will help to reduce oil and also reduce pimples as well as getting rid of pores! i want to be able to keep on using it or stop whenever i want to, unlike some face wash that needs to be used continuously in order to keep pimples away. :D any recommendations? please try to keep it cheap ! :]

i wouldn't use Olay. It is made for aging skin that lacks moisture. I'd start trying clean and clear oxygenating wash if you can get it. It doesn't overdry and gets your face clean. Dont use a moisturizer that has oils...use an oil free.
Using a scrub once a week is always healthy. It could be becoming red because it has retin A.
as u hav oily skin plz avoid scrubbin.. dont use oily creams or lotions which tends to make ur skin more oily.. use home mede face packs like multani mitti which helps to reduce oil secretion and use tomato juice as toner.. and wash ur face twice a day wit a medicated soap.. u can use cucumber juoce als..

how about use a oil control toner and use also a nature method of cleansing some u can find it in the kitchen like oatmeal put that in our face for about 15 minutes or cucumber. cucumber has a nature extract that clean our deep skin and also it take our dry make our skin smooth and clean..some times to much face wash it make our skin dry and dull...

a very very effective face wash is cetaphil....its soo very mild that will make ur skin soo soft.u can find it in any medical store also.in case of toner i too have oily skin and i use nivea toner after using a lot of toners atlast it worked on my skin.
it has little alchohol......but its soo mild that it will not at all dry ur face instead will maintain ur ph balance that take the extra oil.
at last u need a oil free moisturizer.....i use venesua. i dont no where u can find it.u can better use oil free creamMy problem is my oily skin.these days i am using olay face wash but of no use.my skin is also sensitive.tell?

chemical based and can be injurious to you as
you have observed your face becomes red after
using these products. Why not go for freshly prepared
on a daily basis a home made product. All you have
to do is take a cup of besan (bengal gram flour -
channa ka atta) add one teaspoonful of turmeric (haldi)
powder, further add half a lemon juice. Now to this
mixture add as much water so that it forms a paste.
Now apply this paste not only on your face but your whole
body and wait for atleast 20 minutes before you wash.
If possible repeat in the evening (but if it is not possible
to take bath again) by applying it to the face only (but
freshly prepared mixture not anything balance from the
morning lot). Within a months time you will not only see
getting rid of oily face but you will have a dazzling glow
to your whole body. Meantime throughout the day do try
to wash the face with herbal soap containing natural
ingredients like neem and tulsi etc., to wash the excess
oil from your face. Lastly include in your meals a platefull
of salads with no oily dressing except lemon and honey
combination over it. Do also include fresh fruit in season
to enhance the effect and see the results for yourself.

Using products formulated with mineral oil is just like putting car oil on and exposing your self to the sun.... that is why it is the 2nd worse thing for your skin (#1 being the sun) and using animal products is #1 gross because animal products come from rendering plants, these plants pick all dead animals and put them in a huge pot, smash everything, boil it and the oil that comes above is what other companies use to elaborate their products. So you are the one to decide, at least this is why I use ARBONNE, I found all of this so gross..... My skin is pretty dry and so I cant use alot of face washes cause there mostly ment for oily skin.

I did try proactive, but it took wayyy too long to complete all the steps and plus it left dry, red patches all over my face. And it ran out fast. Oh ya, it was really expensive too!
So i need a face wash that doesn't take to long to use and is for skin that tends to be allergic to alot. (I find stuff with perfume in it im allergic to alot).

Dove has some really good washes that are made for sensitive skin, but if you find that those still upset your skin you may just want to try washing your wash with an unscented natural soap with a wash cloth. If none of those work and you are still concerned about your skin you may need to go to a dermatologist or if you find that to expensive at your next check up with your normal doctor you could ask him or her what the recommend. They may have not gone to school directly on skin but they still have to take care of theirs and the probably know some dermatologist and could have picked up some tricks from them. Well i hope you find something for your skin that works if this doesn't!!! %26lt;33

I had your problem too, accept for the oily skin. Here is a clean routine I've been using for about a year, that really works. Before you go to bed, and right when you wake up, trythis, rinse your face with warm water, then cleanse it with Oil Free Acne Wash from Neautrogena, it really worked for me, even if you dont have acne, it prevents acne, and keeps your skin clean and fresh. Then afterwards, dab you face dry with a washlcloth. Then apply some toner, Neautrogena Alcohol-Free toner, really works, it especially helps with oils skin. Right afterwards, you can put on a very thin layer of facial lotion, so that your face doesnt dry and get irrated, this is a great cleansing routine, that realy works for me :)

For more severe acne I would use Acne Free which is kind of like Proactiv except more gentle and less expensive and can be found at any drugstore.
Proactiv! When I was using it I had gotten alot of compliments. People told me I was pretty and I had such a glowing face. I had never heard that before until I started to using proactiv. It makes your skin look like baby skin and it also tones at the same time. It's great!

Hi, there was a really good program on last night called embarrasing bodies and it had a whole section on acne, it had some really good tips so i'd recommend watching that on channel 4 (they have some sort of iplayer thingy on channel4.com i think).
It said that you defo should not drink milk and thats all I remembered because I dont suffer from it!
