Can't seem to find the right face wash for my oily skin. Anything I use, my face breaks out!?

This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good consistancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. These two things are very inexpensive and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. But this is not recommended to everyone because it can make it worse.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. Don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don't scrub too hard when you wash your face, because it can irritate your skin.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one or two tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don't pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars. Zinc can be found in many types of fishes.

If you have sensitive skin, don't use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands are full of bacteria and oils. Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they're are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water. Aloe vera helps acne scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing. Can't seem to find the right face wash for my oily skin. Anything I use, my face breaks out!?
I have oily/acne prone sensitive skin and I jsut started using the Clean and Clear Advantage kit. No problems yet, I would recommend it. It's no more than $20 and you can buy it at the store instead of waiting for $50 packages to be mailed to you.

I tried proactive, murad, biore, neutrogena and had no luck, but this is working pretty well. No new stuff and old stuff is drying up.

Keep with the regimen and I think you will see results. Good Luck! Can't seem to find the right face wash for my oily skin. Anything I use, my face breaks out!?
go to a dermatologist
Having sufferer for 9 yrs. with acne I tried almost everything from proactiv to microderm. Finally last Dec was on ebay and found Clean and Smooth. I read the testimonials and decided to try it, after a month of use I have not had one break-out. Has a money back gaurantee. GOOD LUCK
aside from making sure that u have the right face wash, u also have to be careful of the toners and moisturizers that you use. those may be the ones that are causing the breakouts because these are the products that stay a lot longer on your skin compared to a face wash.

if ur skin is already oily, avoid using too harsh cleansers otherwise it may dry out your skin. it happened to me. and now i have dry skin on the surface with an oily base. the breakout might be due to a similar problem. perhaps you should use a more gentle water-based cleanser or cream cleansers as they will not agitate the skin further. try looking around for it, i saw water-based cleanser in bodyshop before i think.
Use warm water, not hot. Don't use a washcloth, use your hands (only after you have washed them first). Put a roll of soft paper towels in the bathroom and only dry your face with them. Also, change your pillowcase frequently. These suggestions also prevent germs on your skin.

Lots of people with acne tendencies have super-sensitive skin. Go to a beauty supply store that sells Dermalogica products. Get a sample or two of Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser. It is really good stuff that cleans but does not irritate or strip the skin of oils. You won't have to moisturize (something acne people should avoid unless it's oil-free) because it make your skin more moist naturally. It is expensive, but you can buy it cheaper on eBay or other places online. They have lots of other great products, too.
go to a doctor
Try using Cetaphil or Eucerin face wash. You can get it at any drugstore and are gentle on your skin.
