will water cause the oil glands to produce more oil or is there nothing against water? i have oily skin and i plan to wash my face everytime to get that grease. is it ok to wash often as long as its just water that i use?Is it ok to wash my face with water only (no cleanser or soap used) as many times as i want?
it safe. but after that use some cream so ur skin wont b dry!
happy waterin! Is it ok to wash my face with water only (no cleanser or soap used) as many times as i want?
do u live in Puerto rico?? well if you constantly wash your face i'd think it would dry it...i dont know, your always going to have oil in your face...it's just inevitable...
Tust me, i know water! ok water will NOT hurt your face or make the oil glands more oily. so using JUST water is fine, however, your face would not break out as much if you used a cleanser once a day. personally i use Clean %26amp; Clear oil free Continuous Control Acne Wash. which you can get at like Walmart, CVS, Target.... Its awesome. I think if you use a cleanser (or even just some bar soap on a washcloth) once a day and water whenever you feel the need, youll be good to go. so back to answering your main concern. using just water will be fine b/c it is SOOO good for your skin to be moisturized (sp?) but using a cleanser would help even more. hope i could help.
If your face is oily it is better to use a special cleanser. Water won't get the oil out of your pores and you will break out and have bacteria on your skin that water won't kill.
well, you'll dry out yer skin. try moisturizing it.
You will not get your face clean with just water (remember water and oil don't mix), so I recommend you use a MILD cleanser such as Cetaphyl. It's very mild but gets the job done!
Its kinda like trying to clean a greasy frypan with just cold water...Its not gonna happen...Use a mild cleanser and even tho you have oily skin use a moistuiser for your skin type so your glands dont have to overwork and do the job themselves.
yeah i do it works
yes it is. it is ok to use soap also. just find something mild and pH balanced.
sure is !
Washing your face with just water is fine, but it can dry your skin out. Plus, it isn't really ';washing';... as the dirt/makeup/etc trapped in your pores is still present. Try washing your face with regular or Aloe Ivory. It's mild and 99.44% pure.
Yes, it's okay but it's not going to really *wash* your face...only rinse it. I would suggest using an oil-free cleanser (like Neutrogena) and using oil-absorbing sheets throughout the day to get any excess oil.
yes it's fine. you could also try cetaphil. it's very mild.
well, it's not really washing then is it?
You need to get the oil out of your pores. Try a warm towel to open your pores and let the oil out, then wash with a mild soap and dry your face softly. You can do this each morning and again at night. I don't think plain water will do anything to help your oily skin.
since water will probably not do the trick alone, because water and oil do not mix, i would recommend using a facial cleanser once or twice a day. definetly not soap 'cause that will dry your skin.
water is pure.
so what do you think?
yes its ok......
You can wash with water as often as you like but it will not remove oil, so your face would still feel dirty after
It's just a waste of time washing your face with only water. You should use cleanser if you want to keep your face clean and refreshed. I use cleanser every morning and before I go to sleep. When i do my face feels refreshed. Only useing water wont help anything.
water dries out your skin too, it does not lubricate it. so yes, it can cause your glands to act up, but not as much as regualr face wash. however, i have learned the hard way that using just water can give you more pimples because it just rinses the dirt around without cleaning it....
And to the water is pure guy, there is usually chlorine (drying) and other stuff in your tap water, so unless you are washing with Evian...
no it is fine but to help wash with soap bar it will help
How To How to Wash An Oily Face
1. Wash your face and neck morning and night. Washing more often than this will only cause the sebaceous glands to produce more oil. That is not what you want to happen.
2. If you think that your cleanser could be part of the problem, perhaps it is time to try something new. Look for a product that is gentle. It usually says so right on the bottle. You might also ask your doctor or dermatologist to suggest a brand to try.
3. Splash warm water over your face and then add a little cleanser to your hands. Work into a lather and then massage your face. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. There should be no soap residue left on your skin. Most importantly, never use hot water.
4. Using a soft clean towel, blot the water from your face. A clean towel is extremely important, as a used towel could be a breeding ground for bacteria.
5. Apply a sunscreen that is oil-free.
TIPS :
There are a lot of things that will trigger the oil glands. Hormones, hot weather and even some foods are known culprits.
Your cleansing routine should include your neck as this is an area that is very prone to blemishes even though the area does not seem to be oily.
If you find that your face is oily again by lunch time, use oil blotting papers to soak up the oil. Do not be tempted to re-wash your face.
I never use soap or cleanser on my face, I believe that it causes more oil.
